Job Description: The QA Analyst is a lead position and is responsible for developing and executing the QA plan following the CLIENTS Quality Assurance Plan Responsibility Matrix. The QA Plan must be in line with existing project processes, guidelines and documentation.

The incumbent will also be responsible for:
•Managing, controlling and administering activities as defined in the QA Plan
•Compile and organize data required for reviews and other project reporting requirements
•Test and implement contingency plans as required
•Work collaboratively with other QA staff assigned to the project
•Provide assistance and technical oversight of QA and Testing activities
•Develop Master Test Plans to outline strategy and approach for testing
•Prepare status and progress reports
•Perform related duties as assigned
•The incumbent will also be responsible for analyzing requirements to ensure they are concise and testable.
•Key deliverables include the creation of the QA and Testing Strategy, the Master Test Plan and Test Cases and planning and managing of the activities required to test the new solution including issue tracking and resolution. Management of the QA processes includes supervision of the Testers assigned to the project and reporting status' to
the QA Test Supervisor and Project Manager

This is not a testing position
•Minimum of five years Project QA experience in a client server environment
•Solid understanding of System Development Life Cycle
•Experience creating QA strategies for project life cycle
•Clear understanding of Business Requirements, Statement of Work, and Test
•Strategies as they apply to projects
•Knowledge of testing methodologies
•Experience in writing test documentation
•Knowledge and experience in tracking problems and defects
•Solid experience in executing testing and analyzing the results
•Understanding of maintenance support systems and principle
•Understanding of inventory principles and nomenclature would be an asset
•Experience in large system deployment to a large, diverse end-user community spread across a wide geographical area
•Expert in quality assurance, test planning, and test execution
•Experience in client server applications testing including windows client and thin client (web based) applications
•Experience using Automated Test tools; experience with Compuware Test tools an asset
•Working knowledge of Windows NT, Windows XP and MS Office
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong QA engineering background
•University/Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
•Certification in Software Quality Engineering or equivalent a definite asset
