Government Position: Permanent BA/Project Lead-Toronto

Key Skills:
•Minimum of 10 years work experience within a Technology environment and 7 years as a Business Analyst

•Knowledge of bank standards, infrastructure, architecture, testing methodologies and code management practices
•University/College degree/diploma or equivalent experience within the financial industry

Responsibilities:
•The successful candidate will have the following accountabilities:
•Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business and functional requirements
•Work closely with both the business and technology teams in the creation of System Requirement Specifications
•Working with other Lead BAs, responsible for the creation of an overall Test Strategy and Plan(s) incorporating the most effective use of testing tools and resource
•Facilitate develop of test cases, review test results, and provide user documentation, user training, and post-implementation support as required
•Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input to project charters, project deliverables, cost/benefits analysis, time line estimates, scope and control
•Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management (PMLC) methodologies
•Assist with the prioritization of initial deliverables and ongoing change requests
•Review technical solutions within the business environment, recognizing systems design, data interdependencies and reusability thus ensuring a seamless delivery
•Help establish appropriate security levels for processes and information exchange
•Acting as QA resource, assist in defining, reviewing and influencing standards and quality measures/metrics
•Assist in the development of the conversion and implementation strategies
•Conduct pre and post implementation reviews, ensuring all technical solutions have met business requirements
•Support system implementation and production readiness by liaising with change management, IT architecture and desktop standards, and the business
•Collaborate with business leaders, IT professionals, and solutions vendor ensuring that management is kept informed and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately and clearly communicated
•In partnership with other team members, ensure a close relationship is maintained with clients, in order to keep informed of their business needs and direction
•As a senior BA, provide leadership to other analysts throughout their various phases, including project initiation, analysis, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation review

Comments: We are looking for a Project lead / Senior Business Analyst. The successful
candidate will perform business analysis tasks and lead small to large IT projects involving the all areas of our clients business, including Back Office, Middle Office, Front Office and with various external vendors and internal suppliers to ensure the quality delivery of new products and feature enhancements to our existing products
The Candidate should have a solid understanding of the Fixed Income/Money Market business.
