Government contract-Project Lead - 36 weeks+ Toronto

Project Description:
As required, the Project Lead may work on IT projects, performing various IT related duties where additional staff re-sourcing may be required.
Description of Duties/Scope of Work:
The key responsibility of the Project Lead with be to work with the Project Manager to publish a detailed sales report to our client.
Duties:
· Preparing detailed project documentation such as project charter and project plans (e.g. costs, schedules risk, quality, etc.)
· Liaising with other departments in preparing Business and System Requirements, Request for Information and Request for Proposal documents
· Coordinating the evaluation of vendor proposals
· Liaising with other technical areas in the department to ensure that appropriate project resources are identified and comprehensive input is provided for technology decisions
· Keeping the Project Manager informed of on going activities and any unusual circumstances
· Preparing presentations or arranging demonstrations for user groups, management staff, the Project Steering Committee
· Ensuring all required project documentation is prepared according to client standard and appropriate approvals are obtained in a timely manner
· Ensuring the project follows the clients ITS Project Management Methodology
· Working with other IT departments (Quality Assurance, Technical Services, Client Services, Application Services) to ensure their participation and buy-in
· Publishing the detailed feasibility study document
· Perform related duties as assigned
Special Skills/Certification Required:
· 5 + years Project Lead experience
· 5+ years of Business / Systems Analysis experience
· Experience implementing e-commerce solutions
· Experience preparing RFI's and RFP's
· Experience and understanding of issues of working with vendor for contracted services
· Experience documenting business and system requirements
· Well developed communications and presentations skills
· Good planning, organizing and leading skills
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
· Usage of MS Project and other MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is mandatory
· University/Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Deliverables:
· Project documents as required by the IT Services Project Management Methodology
· Procurement documents as required by the Materials and Procument process to issue and evaluate RFI and RFP
· Weekly project status reports
